The environment of firms is strongly influenced by dynamic changes in the past few decades. The pressure from customers gets the front in particular, as price affordable, high quality, delivered in the shortest possible time, the products are provided byother services. Another significant factor of the changing environment is a global competition, which affects the local markets by an ability to quickly deliver the products and which is able to copy a possible successful production. It is created a greater pressure on the flexibility of firms thereby. The competencies of individual staffs respectively the skills of managers are the cornerstones of firm's competitiveness in such an environment. The competence is possible understood as the ability to behave in a manner consistent with job requirements in the parameters of the environment organization, thus to bring the desired results.
