MICROECONOMIC AND MACROECONOMIC ASPECTS OF THE DIMENSION OF HEALTH LITERACY AS A DETERMINANT OF HUMAN CAPITAL
Original language description
In advanced market economies, the focus on the comprehensive development of human resources is accelerated considerably. To that end, the interdisciplinary approach of humanities, social, technical and medical sciences is applied. Particularly with the onset of the Industry 4.0 era, demands for growth in investment in human resources are rising. This is subsequently reflected in the quantitative and qualitative level of human capital, which is a significant organic component from the microeconomic point of view of the health literacy of the population. From the point of view of macroeconomic theory, the human capital component is a determinant for ensuring stable economic growth. This is evidenced by the theory of endogenous growth based on empirical analysis based on the correlation between investment in human resources and economic growth. Health literacy represents the interdependence of education and health policy, meaning important areas of social policy. It also calls for the implementation of the principles of social responsibility of all stakeholders while respecting the principles of subsidiarity and participation. As a consequence of this policy, there is a considerable acceleration of the complex view of the creation of quality infrastructure for the human life of all population groups.
