Fish Acoustic Telemetry as Causal Stochastic System and Perron-Frobenius Analysis of Its Markov Model

  • Original language description

This article explores fish acoustic telemetry data as a causal stochastic system through a Markov model and Perron-Frobenius analysis. Investigating welfare of Atlantic salmon, the study focuses on acceleration levels in fish telemetry. The resulting Markov model reveals a stable system with a convergence to steady state. The analysis reveals a trend in transitions, indicating a tendency for states to persist. The approach may help identify abnormal behavior and contribute to the development of effective management practices for captive fish.
