The EU has put a substantial effort the preservation and promotion of high nature value and a sustainable aquaculture respecting environmental requirements. The approach to be applied to fish production in valuable areas is based on the consideration toharmonize land protection in from of extended overhanging measures and arragements in pond maintenance practice. Such kind of protective and conservation measures results in some limitation of fish production.
