Tryptophan biosynthesis in stramenopiles: eukaryotic winners in the diatom complex chloroplast

  • Original language description

In silico analysis of the tryptophan biosynthetic pathway in stramenopiles as inferred from the completely sequenced nuclear genomes of oomycetes Phytophthora sojae and P. ramorum, and diatoms Thalassiosira pseudonana, Phaeodactylum tricornutum. It showsthat only a single enzyme (InGPS) of the pathway display expected cyanobacterial origin, while all the other enyzmes involved originate from eukaryotic nucleus, however, they are targeted to the diatom complex chloroplast.

Syntéza tryptofanu u stramenopil: eukaryotičtí vítězové v komplexním plastidu rozsivek
