Sequence characterized markers for flax seed authentication
Original language description
We developed a set of nine sequence-characterized (SCAR) markers derived from the flax genome. The correlation between marker polymorphism (Polymorphic Information Content, PIC) and GC (purine) content of a sequence from which a marker was derived, indicated that the sequences with higher GC content tended to yield more informative markers and should be preferred in marker design.
