Original language description
Apogonia rakovici sp. nov. is described from southern Thailand and compared with similar and probably related congeners. The newly described species is assigned into the Apogonia apicalis species group. Apogonia laevicollis Lansberge, 1879 is recorded from Bali Island, Malaysia and Thailand for the first time.
