Lipid mobilization and locomotor stimulation in Gryllus bimaculatus by topically applied adipokinetic hormone

  • Original language description

Topical application of Grybi-AKH led to a significant increase in haemolymph lipids, comparable to the maximal increase caused by injection of AKH. Topical application of AKH also stimulated locomotor activity in crickets (maximal stimulation 1.8-fold with 100 pmol Grybi-AKH). Our results suggest that AKH quickly penetrates the cuticle, although only a small fraction of the applied AKH actually enters the haemolymph

  • Czech name

Mobilizace lipidů a stimulace pohybové aktivity pomocí topikálně podávaného adipokinetického hormonu u cvrčka Gryllus bimaculatus
