Energy demands of military bases
Original language description
The article deals with energy demands of recent as well as possible future military operations of NATO countries. In particular, it focuses on electric power production by diesel generators and end use of energy in expeditionary military camps. For reasons of simplicity, objectivity and Information Management over real military operations and related research, this article does not specify any names of the expeditionary camps, their particular locations, national organizations and contractors. Both simulated and real measured data from different sources are compared. Different results and various factors influencing power consumption are discussed.
