Original language description
The overarching goal of the V4 Defence Resources Management Project was to analyse systems and processes of management of defence resources in Central Eastern Europe and come up with recommendations regarding good practices. The project's idea steams from of defence policy goals in the region constitute main obstacles to effective, rational and optimal acquisition of capabilities and as a result hinder an ability to harness economies of scale in regional collaboration. The range of this problem encompasses formulation of requirements (for instance the level on implementation of capability based planning, employment of net assessment and systems analysis techniques, including war-gaming an operational research) and defence acquisition management (introduction of modern management approaches based on an economical calculus).
