The recent advances in technology have necessitated a new approach in the area of foreign languages training. New technologies can be used to create new educational frameworks for learning that go beyond the standard school paradigm. This paper deals with the Partnership for Learning Project focused on videoconferencing software and desktop computers that takes place via the Internet. The project description, project content, its experience and the future of this way of learning and teaching are described.
