Original language description
In 2009-2010, the Language Training Centre at the University of Defence participated in a sectional task of the Faculty of Economics and Management research project called ?The State and Changes in Military Professionals? Language Competence?. Its novelty lies in understanding of the current state of military professionals? English language competencies and determining where the gaps lie in their English language knowledge. The information that was gathered enabled to find out whether the previous education and the length of study are factors that influence the level of English knowledge in individual language skills, if and how the age and the individual?s current post are related to the level of military professionals? English, what skills caused thebiggest problems and what kind of a language course (classical form, e-learning) they will prefer before foreign missions with respect to military professionals? employee ratings and time.
