The article deals with the conclusions from the analysis how selected countries make development of military capstone and operational concepts.The operational concept as ?working hypothesis? can be examined and shaped throughout the method of experimentation and create keystone and framework for future doctrine. Absence of the operational concepts (principal joint concepts for operations) can cause a significant negative impact to the definition of vision for framework of the mission of armed forces forthe future as well as to the defence planning as a whole. This is one of the outputs (results) of the OPERKON defence research project.
