Military Engineering - Engineer Intelligence, Reconnaissance and relevant Engineer information issues
Original language description
Engineer Intelligence (EI) is considered as an important part of the area of Military Engineering (MILENG) and plays fundamental role in successful planning of military operations. The origin of the term of EI was stated by STANAG 2991 (2003). It represents a relatively new branch of MILENG matters and it has their main roots in MILENG as well as in Intelligence disciplines. Just now it is seen, that the NATO policy and relevant circumstances which directly affect conducting operations are changing. Also the process of military cognition is in progress. The aim of this article is to characterize the current EI situation, denominate some possible discrepancies and to contribute to the development in this important MILENG area.
