THE SPECIAL COURSE OF CONTROL OF MILITARY ENGINEERING SUPPORT OF TROOPS IN OPERATIONS
Original language description
Problems associated with the support of troops in operations are inseparable part of an operation. Military Engineering (MILENG) or military engineering support is an inherent requirement of each of the joint functions, at all levels of command and in any mission, campaign or operation. It achieves the desired objectives by manipulating the operating environment such as by enabling or preventing movement, providing life support and developing infrastructure. Military engineers contribute to operation planning process by providing the subject matter expert (SME) advice to ensure that appropriate MILENG capabilities will be generated in a timely manner to meet commanders? requirements. To achieve operational success, the staff members and MILENG SMEs atall command levels must work closely to ensure that the requirements for MILENG capabilities are adequately addressed.
