Original language description
The paper deals with the security and economic development in Georgia in 1991 - 2015. The authors analysed the political and security consequences in a defined period and their reflection in economic and social development of Georgia. Stability was evaluated in three comparative periods 1991 - 2007, 2008 - 2009 and 2010 - 2015. Distribution in selected time sequence has been given significant political and security milestones that have distinctly influenced the development of the state in all spheres - economic, social and security. They were used standard economic indicators, which highlighted the fact that the changes in security levels have a direct impact on economic stability and significantly influence the political development in the country. The geographic proximity of the Russian Federation and its impact on minority nationalities in neighbouring countries also played in the security developments in Georgia the important role and the authors seek universally usable knowledge for predicting possible changes in the level of security in the region. On the basis of "spheres of influence" the authors demonstrate that despite publicly declared opinions that spheres of influence were overcome, Georgia as well as Ukraine represents potential territory of conflict of the interest and the spheres of influence of the EU and NATO vs. newly defined security hegemons. The authors investigated the background of theoretical approaches issues of international relations, changes in concepts of safety and security dilemma, using generally accepted theoretical views on security, including the Copenhagen school concept, dealing with regional security complex and the role of regional hegemon in stabilizing the security level of security in the region. They analysed the changes in the level of safety and capacity of potential enemies at the same time made changes to economic cooperation and orientation in the selected time sequences.
