Original language description
The paper deals with a data availability assessment for the usability of Disaster Resilience Scorecard for Cities in the Czech Republic. Data availability for the disaster resilience assessment is a crucial limiting element of a successful assessment. The theoretical part of the paper contains description of Disaster Resilience Scorecard for Cities along with information on territories in the Czech Republic with a focus on municipalities. In the practical part of the paper, an analysis of data availability for the proposed assessment criteria included in Essentials for Making Cities Resilient with currently available data at the municipal level in the Czech Republic has been carried out. Criteria from Essentials 6, 8 and 9 have been selected for the assessment. They are aimed at institutional capacity for resilience, infrastructure resilience and effective disaster response. Based on the analysis and comparison, applicability of the assessed criteria from Essentials for Making Cities Resilient for national conditions of the research on resilience of municipalities has been evaluated.
