The contribution deals with the prosecution of advanced air fighting and the effectiveness of the equipment at assault air target. The possibilities of air cannons and guided missiles are re-viewed in brief. The areas of possible assault at air target with different types of guided missiles are presented. In the conclusion, computer output from a mathematical model draw-ing in the areas of prospective assault and reach of individual controlled missiles is shown.
