The article deals with the application of the Reach-Back concept for Engineer Corps of the Czech Armed Forces. The concept is used to support deployed units and is based on on-line or off-line cooperation between engineer company commanders and specialists from the Department of Engineer Technology and the Department of Combat Support Management at the University of Defence in Brno. The text is divided into three parts that describe a workshop for engineer company commanders, synthetic exercise of engineer units and the application of the Reach-Back to the Defence Research Project. The first part of the article gives further information about the workshop held at the Departments of Engineer Technology in January 2009. The second part concerns the application of the Reach-Back concept during the exercise at the Centre of Simulation and Training Technologies in Brno.
