The main topic of the paper is to present application of modern civil engineering software for projection C-IED (Counter ? Improvised Explosive Devices) training area. This software was used especially for planning of tertiary roads, which create the main part of the training area. At first digital elevation model was created as a digital representation of ground terrain from an area of interest. Digital elevation model was fundamental element for projection of tertiary roads and defense walls. The whole project documentation was created by software AutoCAD Civil 3D. This documentation was vital for obtaining planning permission.
