Proposal of handling equipment for mobile band saw.
Original language description
Currently in the Army of the Czech Republic is being introduced mobile band saw for the manufacture of wooden construction elements. Handling with tree trunk on this saw is done manually. This paper presents a design of a simple handling equipment for placing tree trunk on the saw. The principle of the proposal is to modify the design of the tracks and use a small additional winch. The proposal is presented for a mobile band saw ?Husqvarna SMB-70?. Design modifications do not affect the parameters of the cutting saws. A benefit of the proposal is to reduce heavy physical labor when placing tree trunk on the saw. The device can be used as a vehicle for bringing the trunk to saw. The principle of the proposed handling equipment can also be used in otherareas where it is handled with a heavy cylindrical load (oil drum, heavy pipe components, etc.)
