Present activity of armed forces is characterized from the geographic point of view by limited territory of military activities, high mobility of units, international co-operation in multi-national task forces, and co-operation with civilian organisations. Good knowledge of natural environment in the Area of Responsibility is an assumption of a mission success. It is necessary to evaluate the impact of natural environment on given activity. The advanced methods of analysis of main military geographic and hydro-meteorological properties of natural environment are used only particularly in the areas of responsibility.
