Evaluation of 2A46 cannon barrel bore wear
Original language description
The cartridges with 3OF-19, 3BK-14M, 3BM-15 projectiles and new 125 mm AP-T type 97 projectiles (TAPNA is similar cartridge established in the Slovak Armed Forces) are in service with the tank cannon 2A46. All these projectiles, except 3BM-15 projectile,show typical bore wear in the forcing cone and at the muzzle. The results of measurement 2A46 barrel bore wear made on three cannons are shown in this article. Based on these results the recommendations for the barrel bore wear measurement during the technical inspections of T-72 equipment are introduced.
