    Interaction between projectile driving band and forcing cone of weapon barrel

  • Original language description

    The paper deals with engraving process of the projectile into the barrel forcing cone in course of ramming. Static model of interaction problem (contact problem) between the projectile driving band and forcing cone are established and solved by using simulation software ANSYS Workbench ver.13.0 with Finite Element Method. Research results as deformations and stress fields, and the reaction forces etc. are shown in form of graphs and charts. Material model of the problem is performed with copper alloy (Cu)material, containing 99.99% Cu.
