Original language description
The paper deals with the design of a control system for a mobile free-space optical link. Basic conditions of the system operation are described. These conditions are a variable steady model and permissible fluctuations of the received optical power. They dictate limit angular deflections of optical axes of link stations. On the basis of the deflections a design and features of a system of the axes position control have to be specified. The inertial reference unit (IRU) is an important part of the angular position control system. The small and simple IRU uses inertial sensors based on the MEMS technology.
