The paper describes of basic types of machine-based technology on the quality of the surface of the common wood. Research was carried out on the test milling stand when setting different speed and the speed of the shaft. Evaluation of the surface qualityof the beech, oak, pine and spruce was on a top-level Taylor Hobson apparatus Talysurf CLI 1000 contactless methods with confocal sensor.
