Assessment of reducers shafting fatigue life ? the Finite Elements Method software utilization options
Original language description
This paper describes Finite Elements Method (FEM) software utilization options in assessment of reducers shafting fatigue life that are used in a process of an aircraft piston engine construction. LSA method is applied to assessment of safety factor towards fatigue damage. There is used finite element method software (FEM). The method LSA is combination of analytical calculation and real stress. The real stress values are obtained from FEM analysis. In conclusion outlines the future development of FEM methods for engineering design.
