    The most remarkable factor affecting ageing of double-base propellants (DB propellants) is temperature whereas increase of temperature by 10 °C causes around 2.9 times increase of the rate of chemical decomposition. The aim of the work was to establish kinetic predictive model of NC chain decomposition and on the basis of this model to verify a hypothesis that a service life given by deterioration of physical-mechanical properties of the binder could be limiting for general service life of DB propellants.
