Behavioral Model of Photovoltaic Panel in Micro-Cap
Original language description
In this article creation of a photovoltaic panel model using the „Analog behavioral current source“ in the Micro-Cap is described. So far, the model is not embedded in a Micro-Cap examples library. The NFI functional controlled source is programmed using the .define command in Text tab. Equations describing the photovoltaic panel were obtained by the original identification method using the MATLAB® environment. The final model regards the solar irradiation and it is valid for a particular panel and temperature. The example demonstrates a dynamic DC analysis and a classical DC analysis. The panel model is used for an excitation of controlled DC-DC boost-type converter. The results of a transient analysis and a practical measurement are also shown.
