Enhanced Utilization of a Spatial Disorientation Flight Simulator by the Czech Military Pilot's Aeromedical Training
Original language description
Flight illusions belong to the real threats for the flight safety. The illusions originate first of all from the not ideal human senses for spatial orientation by such activity like flying. Some bad managed flight illusions can lead to a pilot's spatial disorientation resulting in possible aviation accidents. Today's special equipment like disorientation demonstrators / flight simulators is able not only to demonstrate the illusion influence by a simple demonstration, but they are able to incorporate the illusions into a more complex fly session. Thus it is advisable to impart this fact especially to the new pilots and, when possible, implement the enhanced flight illusions demonstrations into the Czech military pilot's aeromedical training. This article deals with the development of new flight profiles including illusions with an objective evaluation of their influence on the flight trajectory.
