New Trends Used for Negotiation Untrafficable Terrain
Original language description
This article describes the results of measurement of new perspective material for negotiation low endurable terrain. It is based on the previous measurement with these materials, but enhanced by another vehicles and locations. There are described instruments for measuring the trafficability. The first one is the telescopic penetrometer used by the Czech Army and the second one is the cone penetrometer used by some NATO countries. The main aims of this chapter are the possibilities of overcoming low endurable terrain with perspective materials - mats. These mats were used during terrain measurements in extremely adverse conditions. It was tested weather the vehicles mired in terrain are able to pass with the mats. The procedures, the calculations and the results of the experiment are presented here.
