Original language description
Airport lighting systems are the inseparable parts for all types of airports. They provide most of information for approach to landing phase in various types of meteorological conditions. Currently the most of airport lights are based on classical light sources - halogen bulb but there are the new light sources, like LED diodes, which are applied as the light sources in airport light. This application also requires the new view of supplying. This paper shows how to implement modern light sources into airport lighting supply system, their advantages and disadvantages and it suggests the most suitable method of power supply for LED airport lights
