    The subject of the analysis carried out by the Expert Group on Military Techniques on newly delivered barrels for pistols model 82 in the 9mm Makarov calibre. The newly delivered barrels were analysed and compared to the original barrel of above-mentioned pistol. The article describes the basic measurements concerning the chemical composition of the barrel material, basic metallographic parameters of the three compared barrels, thickness of chromium plating, incl. measurement of the mechanical properties of the chromium plating and substrate material and the circularity of the front part of the bore barrel. Measurements were carried out at the Department of Mechanical Engineering, Faculty of Military Technology, University of Defence in Brno.
