The Sum of One Type of the Telescoping Series
Original language description
This contribution deals with the sum of the special telescoping series. The terms of these series are reciprocals of the quadratic polynomials with two different positive integer roots. The main goal of the contribution is to give an exposition of these telescoping series and illustrate them by several simple examples. These examples are the basis for the main result of the paper - derivation the formula for the sum of these series using the limit of the sequence of the partial sums. After that we verify this main result by some examples using the basic programming language of the computer algebra system Maple 16. This contribution can be an inspiration for teachers who are teaching the topic Infinite series or as a subject matter for work with talented students.
