Step Motor Control in Matlab Environment
Original language description
This article describes step motors and options for their control when operating antenna rotator. Arduino IDE development environment together with Matlab environment were used to control the step motor. The final algorithm operates the antenna platform step motor in horizontal and vertical planes via Matlab application. Matlab enables basic parameter setup to control the step motor motion. Control unit Arduino Mega 2560 enables connection of measuring equipment to measure antenna radiation pattern in anechoic chamber.
