    The work deals with the description and reception of satellite TV digital signal standard DVB-S and DVB-S2, based on DVB-S standards. EN 300 421 V1.1.2 and DVB-S2 ETSI EN 302 307 V1.2.1. The aim of the work is a theoretical analysis of the modulation techniques of DVB-S2. Theoretical knowledge of modulator and modulation of DVB-S2 standard is demonstrated which serves for a theoretical understanding of the modulator function in the DVB-S2 standard and at the same time for a comparison of ideal constellations obtained by simulations with real measurement results. The measurement itself was performed in the Crazy Scan and EBS Pro software environment, focusing on the satellite signal from the satellites at the Astra 23.5∘E and Astra 19.2∘E positions.
