The Improving of the Accuracy of a Signal Amplitude Measurement in the Passive Systems
Original language description
A crucial aspect of passive systems is a signal analysis based on the measuring of the characteristics of the signal. The signal amplitude information is employed first and foremost among these characteristics. It is utilized for simpler issues like detection, target coordinate measurement, and tracking, as well as more difficult issues like the identification of the signal source. Therefore, the amplitude measuring as accurately as possible of the signals is an urgent requirement for the next steps of signal analysis. The article analyzes the model of the measurement of a signal amplitude in passive receiver systems. Theoretically, it is essentially a problem of an estimation of the amplitude of the measured signals, which has a Rician distribution due to disturbance of the noise. The paper summarizes the existing methods of signal amplitude measurement and introduce of approaches to enhance the accuracy of amplitude measurement.
