Original language description
The paper specifies important quality characteristics and quantitative parameters that affect the life cycle costs of a vehicle. The individual quality characteristics are described in detail, including the relationships for calculating the quantitative parameters of a vehicle. A model for calculating the ownership costs is also presented, including the costs that are caused by the loss of income due to the immobility of the vehicle. These losses must be taken into account for vehicles used for gainful activity (business). Furthermore, the relationship between life cycle costs and dependability is presented; it is closely related and significantly affects the life cycle costs of a vehicle. In general, it can be argued that with increasing vehicle reliability, acquisition costs increase, but on the contrary, maintenance costs and the income loss caused by the immobility of the vehicle decrease.
