Application of Atomic Emission Spectrometry in Conjunction with a Linear Regression Model for Prediction Content Fe of Motor Oil in Combat Vehicles

  • Original language description

During the operation of combat vehicles, maintenance and repair work, especially on the engine, is carried out on a regular basis. Under normal operating conditions, the content of abrasive particles in the engine oil changes continuously. The content of abrasive particles increases beyond the allowable limit, signalling abnormal engine operation. The determination of the content of abrasive particles through the analysis of engine lubricating oil, especially the iron element, helps evaluate the current technical condition of the engine. The objective of this paper is to use a linear regression model to predict the wear particle content of the iron element through the atomic emission spectrometry analysis method and at the same time evaluate the reliability of the linear regression model.
