Hyperspectral Data Acquisition for Military Camouflage in Vegetation – Preliminary Results
Original language description
In the field of remote sensing, hyperspectral imaging has emerged as a powerful technology for detecting and identifying objects of interest based on their unique spectral signatures. The ability to capture and analyze a vast number of narrow spectral bands enables hyperspectral sensors to provide detailed information about the chemical composition and physical properties of materials. Hyperspectral measurement is growing as a branch because hyperspectral cameras have become financially available. Behind the visible part of the electromagnetic spectrum, there are still many characteristics that are interesting for intelligence. Using this technology in unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) offers the perspective of easier detection of objects in the battlefield. This paper presents some aspects of hyperspectral measurement, including the acquisition process and post-processing.
