Original language description

Wargaming workshop consisted of three main parts: testing, discussing and preparing. During the testing phase, participants were taken through playing sessions of various board games of different kind and topic. The hosts scheduled business trip according to various levels and presented the games typical for each of them. Starting at tactical level and going through operational to the strategic one, participants tested how gaming mechanics are tied to the decision making and learned differences between those levels in their respective wargaming variants. Twilight Struggle, Game of War, Scythe, ROOT, and other games have been played by the workshop participants. Playing games provided an inspiration for types of games to be exploited/developed within the CZE MoD in the future. That helped to better understand what opportunities wargames bring for military career courses and what kind of mechanics and concepts could be used in crafting best tailored wargame for Czech needs.
