Influence of cooling conditons on microstructure and mechanical properties of the IN738LC castings was investigated. Optical metallography and secondary electron microscopy were used to measure grain size, gamma prime phase size and casting defects fraction. Tensile tests and Vickers hardness were measured at room temperature.
