The workshop consisted of individual presentations of the applicants ́ ideas and a discussion with other participants, experienced ERC grant holders and ERC evaluators from the applicants ́ fields of research. To maximize the impact and effectiveness, the workshop was opened only for ERC Starting or Consolidator (eventually also Advanced) grant applicants who already worked on a grant proposal, which they intended to submit to the 2019 ERC Work Programme calls.
