This paper will outline general principles of implementation of corporation information system, which should reduce risk of failure of implementation. Critical factors of success, recommendations and patterns of how to proceed in individual phases of theproject life-cycle will be mentioned. A guide for senior managers is presented, too, to enable them an easier orientation in the issue of implementation of a corporation information system. The paper is tailor-made for large and medium size enterprisesbut the results can be also modified for smaller enterprises adequately.
