Text free forms of medical guidelines that are used in medical care are often cumbersome and difficult to memorize. Therefore a system that is able to present guidelines in a user-friendly manner was designed.The GLIF browser is designed as a general tool that can present any formalized medical guidelines in a user-friendly manner. It could be used for education of students and as a decision support system in medical practice. The GLIF model of formalized guidelines offers to physicians an automated reminder system and check of their decision algorithm in comparison with that of guidelines.
