Transformation of Relationships and Hierarchies during Object Oriented Analysis and Design of Information Systems

  • Original language description

In this paper we will formulate the approach of step-by-step transformation of modeling concepts and their relationships and hierarchies throughout the system development lifecycle. Each concept has its own validity range within the total development lifecycle. Many concepts have a layer of super-ordinate concepts, from which they may be derived by the use of suitable techniques. For many concepts, there is also a layer of subordinate concepts, which may subsequently be derived from it, again by the useof suitable techniques. Our approach, where in each development stage only limited set of concepts is allowed, may help to solve the problem of excessive complexity of object-oriented analysis and design.
