The Czech University of Life Sciences operates seven tutorial centers for distance education in several regions of the Czech Republic. The authors searched for differences in motivation and conditions for both male and female students in the tutorial centers. The article contains the results of a questionnaire survey among students of these centers. The questionnaire data analysis which followed was focused on the demographic structure of respondents and the comparison of answers of men and women. The analysis of quantitative signs, tests of relationships and odds ratio, were made. The statistical analysis was made using software SPSS, version 17. The differences found between the genders were only in two questions and none of them was strong.
