Knowledge capital and effective knowledge management are today the biggest competitive advantage for organizations. Knowledge continuity management can contribute to a higher quality of processes generally. It can contribute especially in processes whichwork with knowledge and it can contribute to improving management. The objective of this article is to propose the process of knowledge continuity ensuring in organizations. The data has been gathered based on a qualitative survey and a follow-up discussion with middle and top managers from organizations in the Czech Republic. One of the conclusions of the article is that thanks to knowledge continuity ensuring it is possible to preserve the critical knowledge of key employees in organizations even after their leaving and thus to maintain their competitive advantage consisting in this key knowledge.
