REGIONAL CHARACTERISTICS OF AGRICULTURAL ENTERPRISES DEVELOPMENT IN THE CZECH REPUBLIC
Original language description
Agriculture is one of the most risky industries in the Czech Republic. The share of agriculture in the domestic economy has a long-term declining trend. The Czech livestock production is second to the crop production in the last years; while ordinary ithas created more working places than other agricultural businesses. Domestic agriculture has been profitable since the Czech Republic has joined the EU, mainly due to significant growth in subsidies in the sector. The aim of the paper is to demonstrate the correlation between the number of workers and the economic performance of agricultural sector; and to evaluate year to year changes in the structure of the agricultural production in the Czech Republic.
