Pedological evaluation of reclaimed dumpsite soils
Original language description
The areas of anthropogenic soils of the reclaimed dumpsites on former brown-coal mining territories are increasing. These soils differ in their properties according to deposited materials, reclamation measures and management, etc. In this study, soils from eight localities with different reclamation and age were studied. In addition to basic soil properties (pH, humus content and quality, soil texture), an attention was paid to soil structure stability. Presented data follow up the analyses curried previously. The anthrosols under study can be characterised by strong heterogeneity caused - beside the deposited material itself - also by relief and vegetation variability. Organic matter proved to be an important factor improving the development of anthrosols. From this point of view older anthrosols where plant growing enriched the surface layer with organic matter were better than the new ones. Phosphorus should be added to these soils to promote plant growth since the natural sources i
